Turtle Cake
Turtle Cake is an moderately easy dessert you can prepare in just 56 minutes. Made with box german chocolate or swiss chocolate cake mix, c. margarine, c. water, c. oil and eggs, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Cut margarine into cake mix.
Add water, cooking oil, eggs and 1/2 can of sweetened condensed milk.
Pour half of batter into greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan.
Bake at 350° for 30 minutes. While cake bakes, melt caramels and remaining 1/2 can of sweetened condensed milk.
Stir in pecans; spread over hot cake. Add remaining cake batter; bake another 30 minutes at 350°.
