Turnips Au Gratin
Turnips Au Gratin is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 c. diced pared turnips, 1 tsp. salt, 1 tsp. sugar, 2 tbsp. butter or margarine and 2 tbsp. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.

Place turnips in boiling water.
Add salt and sugar; cover and cook 12 minutes.
Drain.
In saucepan, melt butter or margarine. Blend in flour, salt and pepper; remove from heat and blend in the milk.
Return to heat and cook, stirring, until thickened.
Add cheese.
In a casserole dish, layer alternately turnips and cheese sauce.
Sprinkle with bread crumbs.
Bake at 350Β° for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.
