Turnip Casserole
Turnip Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 or 5 medium size turnips, 1/2 can mushroom soup, 1/3 c. mayonnaise or sour cream, 1/2 c. grated cheese and 2 tbsp. chopped onion, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Peel and cook turnips until tender.
Do not salt.
Mix together next 4 ingredients.
Let this stand while the turnips cook.
When done, drain turnips and mix turnips with mixture. Pour into a casserole dish.
Top with crushed crackers or Pepperidge Farm crumbs.
Top with melted butter.
Bake about 20 minutes at 350Β°.
