Tuna Tidbits
Tuna Tidbits is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (6 oz.) can tuna, drained (reserve juice), 1/2 c. flour, salt to taste, 1/4 c. drained juice and 1 tsp. baking powder, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
If there is not enough juice from fish, add water to make 1/4 cup.
Beat egg.
Stir in tuna and salt.
Stir with a fork.
Mix liquid with baking powder; stir into fish mixture.
Using 2 iced teaspoons, drop small bits into hot deep fat.
The tidbits will be lacy.
Brown one side; turn and brown other side.
Drain on paper towels.
Takes about 2 to 5 minutes to cook.
Serve hot.
