Trifle
Trifle is an moderately easy dinner. Made with twinkies or sponge cake in 1-inch cubes, 16 oz. or 20 oz. tin fruit cocktail, 1 pkg. jell-o (red), 1/4 to 1/2 c. sweet sherry (optional) and 1 pkg. jell-o pudding (vanilla or banana), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Using an 8-inch diameter deep straight-sided glass dish, line bottom with broken Twinkies or sponge cake.
Reserving liquid, spoon fruit over the Twinkies.
Make Jell-O according to directions, making up to the two cups with the fruit cocktail juice and the sherry.
Pour over the Twinkies and fruit.
Allow to completely set.
Make Jell-O pudding according to directions, using slightly less milk.
Allow to completely set.
Top with cream.
Sprinkle with nuts (optional).
