Tomato Quiche
Tomato Quiche is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 deep dish pie shell, 2 large ripe tomatoes (1/2-inch slices), 1/2 c. sliced ripe olives, 2 tbsp. minced onions and 1 c. grated swiss cheese, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Fry 1/2 pound hot sausage.
Grease.
Aside. Bake pie shell for minutes at 425°.
Set aside.
Dip each tomato slice cup flour seasoned with salt and coarse pepper. Saute tomatoes quickly in 2 tablespoons cooking oil. Set aside. Arrange sliced olives and 2 tablespoons minced onions in bottom of cooked pie shell.
Add the following ingredients in layers: cheese, sausage, Cheddar cheese, tomatoes.
Stir together 2 slightly beaten eggs and 1 cup half and half.
Pour over mixture and bake at 375° for 45 minutes.
Cool 5 minutes before cutting.
