Tomato Pie
Tomato Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 deep-dish frozen pie crust, 1/2 c. parmesan cheese or mozzarella, 2 or 3 tomatoes, pepper and a lot of crushed fresh basil (this will take place of salt; dried basil may be used), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Bake pie crust as directed.
Put 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese or Mozzarella on hot crust.
Peel and slice tomatoes and put overlapping in bottom of crust.
Layer Mozzarella.
Add pepper and basil.
Repeat first layer.
Mix together mayo, 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese and 1/2 cup Mozzarella.
Cover the tomatoes with mixture.
Bake at 375Β° for 24 minutes.
Let cool to almost room temperature before slicing.
Will serve 6 ladies or 4 men (they like it, too).
