Toffee Squares
Toffee Squares is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. margarine or half margarine and half butter, 1 c. brown sugar, 1 egg yolk, 1 tsp. vanilla and 2 c. chocolate chips, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Cream shortening and sugar.
Add egg yolk and vanilla; blend together.
Add flour, mix together again.
Spread this mixture onto a cookie sheet by pinching pieces of dough and pressing dough to cover the cookie sheet, working with your fingers.
Bake 15 minutes at 350Β° oven.
