Toffee Squares
Toffee Squares is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. butter or margarine, 1 c. brown sugar, 1 egg, 1 tsp. vanilla and 2 c. all-purpose flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Cream butter thoroughly.
Gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy.
Drop in egg and blend thoroughly.
Add vanilla. Add flour, sifted with the salt, mixing well.
Spread batter evenly in ungreased 10 x 15-inch pan.
Bake 25 minutes at 350Β°. Remove from oven.
Spread at once with melted chocolate and sprinkle with nuts.
Cut into squares while still warm.
