Toffee Bars
Toffee Bars is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 3/4 c. flour, 1 c. sugar, 1 c. butter or margarine, softened, 1 tsp. vanilla and 1 egg, separated, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Preheat oven to 275Β°.
Grease 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 jellyroll pan. Mix all ingredients except egg whites and walnuts.
Pat evenly in a jellyroll pan.
Beat egg white and brush on dough.
Sprinkle with nuts.
Bake 1 hour and 10 minutes or until golden brown.
Cut 4 strips lengthwise and 12 strips across to make 48.
Remove from pan.
Store in covered container.
