Toffee Bars
Toffee Bars is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour, 1 c. sugar, 1 c. butter, 1 tsp. vanilla and 1 egg, separated (white for top), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
π¨βπ³ Instructions
In a large bowl measure sugar and butter; mix until soft.
Add all other ingredients including egg yolk only.
Pat evenly in a 5 x 11-inch pan.
In a cup with fork, beat egg white slightly. Brush over top of dough and sprinkle with nuts.
Pat down lightly. Bake at 300Β° for 45 minutes or until golden brown.
