Toad-in-the-Hole
Toad-In-The-Hole is an easy dinner. Made with 4 eggs, beaten, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1 c. milk, 2 c. all-purpose flour, sifted and 2 lb. pork sausage, cut in 3/4-inch pieces, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Preheat oven to 425Β°.
In a large mixing bowl, combine eggs, salt and milk.
Blend in flour.
Set aside for 15 minutes.
In a heavy skillet over medium-high heat, saute sausage.
Distribute drippings among eight 3-inch pie tins.
Pour a thin layer (about 1/4-inch) of batter into each tin.
Bake for 5 minutes or until set.
Add sausage; top with remaining batter.
Bake for about 25 minutes or until puffed up and brown; serve at once.
