Texas Cake
Texas Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. sugar, 2 c. flour, sifted, 1 stick oleo, 1/2 c. shortening and 1/4 c. cocoa, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Mix in large bowl the sugar and flour.
Bring to boil the oleo, shortening, cocoa and water.
Pour hot mixture over flour and sugar; blend well.
Add buttermilk, soda, eggs and vanilla; beat well.
This will be bubbly.
Bake at 400Β° for 20 minutes in a greased jelly roll pan (15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1 1/8-inch).
