Texas Brownies
Texas Brownies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. all-purpose flour, 2 c. granulated sugar, 1/2 c. butter or margarine, 1/2 c. shortening and 1 c. strong brewed coffee, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
In large bowl combine flour and sugar.
In heavy saucepan combine butter, shortening, coffee and cocoa.
Stir and heat to boiling.
Pour boiling mixture over flour and sugar.
Add buttermilk, eggs, baking soda and vanilla.
Mix well, using a wooden spoon.
Pour into a well-buttered 17 1/2 x 11-inch jelly roll pan.
Bake at 400Β° for 20 minutes.
