Ten Layer Chocolate Cake
Ten Layer Chocolate Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. shortening, 3 1/2 c. self-rising flour, 3 c. sugar, dash of salt and 1 1/2 c. milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Beat eggs and shortening together.
Add sugar, alternately adding flour and milk.
Add vanilla.
Grease as many cake pans as you have.
Place about 2 big dipping spoonfuls of batter in each pan and cook at 350Β° for about 10 minutes or until done.
Layer will be thin.
Make icing ahead and stack and ice as the layers come from the oven.
Re-grease pans each time you use.
