Tempura Veggies
Tempura Veggies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 tbsp. melted butter, 3/4 tsp. salt, 1/4 c. milk, 1 egg yolk and 1/2 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Beat egg yolk. Add butter, salt and 1/4 cup milk.
Add flour and stir until smooth, then add other 1/4 cup milk.
Beat egg white until peaks form.
Add sugar to whites and beat until stiff. Fold into flour mixture.
Dip cut veggies into flour and then into batter.
Deep fry until golden.
Especially good is zucchini, onions, green peppers, mushrooms, broccoli or whatever you like best.
Even apple slices are good this way.
Will do about 2 pounds fresh veggies.
