Tea Cakes is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. butter, 1/2 c. shortening, 3 tbsp. sugar, 1 tsp. vanilla and 2 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

Combine butter, shortening and sugar, creaming until light and fluffy.
Add vanilla.
Work in flour and coconut gradually until well blended.
Form into 2 rolls; chill in refrigerator overnight. Heat oven to 275Β°.
Slice dough 1/4-inch thick.
Slices may be cut in fancy shapes.
Bake for 35 to 45 minutes.
