Tea Cakes
Tea Cakes is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. butter or margarine, softened, 2 c. sugar, 3 eggs, 2 tbsp. milk and 5 c. all-purpose flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
Cream butter; gradually add 2 cups sugar, beating well.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Add milk and beat well.
Gradually stir flour into creamed mixture.
Stir in vanilla and nuts.
Chill.
On wax paper or plastic, shape the dough into a long tube shaped roll.
Refrigerate overnight.
Slice into rounds 1/4-inch thick.
Place on a lightly greased cookie sheet.
Sprinkle with additional sugar.
Bake at 400Β° for 7 to 8 minutes, or until edges are slightly brown.
