Tea Cakes
Tea Cakes is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c sugar, 1 c shortening or 1/2 c margarine & 1/2 c shortening, 3 eggs, 2 3/4 to 3 c flour and 1 tbsp baking powder, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Cream together shortening, sugar and eggs until well blended. Add vanilla and mix well.
Stir in flour, baking powder and salt, stirring until dough is formed.
Chill at least 1 hour.
Turn out onto lightly floured pastry sheet; roll about 1/4-inch thick.
Cut into desired shapes.
Sprinkle top with sugar.
Bake at 375Β° for 8-10 min.
Cool on wire racks.
