Tamale Corn

Remove shucks from the tamales and reserve the liquid (3/4 cup).
Mix cream-style corn and mashed tamales.
Grate the cheese and add corn and tamales.
Add milk and egg. Add tomato liquid and chili powder.
Sprinkle crushed crackers on top and dot with butter.
May serve as a meat.
Can be prepared a day ahead.
Let stand a little when removed from oven before serving.
