Sweetheart Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. shortening, 1/2 c. sugar, tart jelly or jam, 1 egg yolk and 1/2 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Cream shortening, sugar and egg yolk.
Add flour and knead. Form dough into tiny balls and place on baking sheet.
Make a depression in center of each and fill with jam or any desired tidbit.
Bake in 350Β° oven until lightly browned.
