Sweet Pastry
Sweet Pastry is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 3/4 c. flour, 1 c. confectioners sugar, 1/2 c. shortening, 1/2 c. butter or margarine and 1 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Mix the flour and sugar and make a hole in the middle.
Mix the shortening, butter or margarine, vanilla and egg and cut in with 2 knives or with a pastry cutter.
(May add a little water, if needed.)
Place over tops of cups and roll to fill cups. Bake at 400Β° for 10 to 15 minutes.
Fill with cream filling. Place a strawberry on top.
