Made with 3 cakes yeast, dissolved in 1/2 c. warm water or 3 pkg. active dry yeast, 4 c. scalded milk, cooled slightly, 3 tsp. salt, 1 c. sugar and 1 c. butter, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Mix dissolved yeast, milk, salt, sugar, butter and eggs with electric mixer.
Add flour, a little at a time, until well mixed. (When too thick for mixer, mix with hands.)
