Swedish Tea Ring
Swedish Tea Ring is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. active dry yeast, 1/4 c. warm water, 1/4 c. sugar, 3 tbsp. margarine and 1 1/2 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Soften yeast in warm water.
In mixing bowl, combine sugar, butter, salt and milk.
Cool to lukewarm.
Stir in egg and yeast. Gradually add flour to form a stiff dough.
Cover.
Let stand in a warm place for 1 1/2 hours.
Toss on a floured surface until no longer sticky.
Roll out dough on floured surface to a 12 x 15-inch rectangle.
Brush with margarine.
