Beat egg slightly.
Add sugar and vanilla.
Add the pineapple and mix well.
Add flour, soda and salt and mix well.
Fold in nuts.
Bake in a greased and floured 15 1/2 x 11 1/2-inch pan at 350Β° for 20 to 25 minutes.
Cool and ice with Cream Cheese Frosting.
