Surprise Potatoes is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 5 potatoes, 1/2 stick butter, salt, pepper and 1 pkg. hidden valley ranch-style dressing mix, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Slice and peel potatoes. Cook until almost done. Drain and pour into casserole dish.
Top with butter, salt and pepper.
Put dressing mix on, then cream of mushroom soup.
Slice sausage and layer on top.
Top with grated cheese.
Cook in oven until done.
