Surprise Cake
Surprise Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. self-rising flour, 2 c. sugar, 1 stick margarine, 1/2 c. shortening and 1 c. water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Mix 2 cups flour and 2 cups sugar in mixing bowl; set aside. Cook together 1 stick margarine and shortening, 1 cup water and cocoa.
Let come to a boil.
Pour over flour and sugar mixture. Mix well.
Add buttermilk, eggs, salt, vanilla and soda.
Mix well and pour into cookie sheet.
Bake at 400Β° for 20 minutes.
