Surprise Baked Custard
Surprise Baked Custard is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 eggs, slightly beaten, 1/4 tsp. salt, 3 c. scalded milk, 1/2 c. granulated non-nutritive sweetener and 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Mix eggs, sugar and salt together until well blended. Gradually stir in mix.
Add vanilla.
Place one tablespoon surprise ingredients in each of 6 (6-ounce) custard cups.
Pour custard mixture into cups.
Sprinkle with nutmeg, if desired.
Set in large baking pan and pour very hot water into pan to within 1/2 inch of top of custards.
Bake at 350Β° until a knife inserted near center comes out clean, 30 to 35 minutes.
Makes 6 servings at 115 calories.
