Supper on a Bread Slice
Supper On A Bread Slice is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 loaf unsliced french bread, 1 1/2 lb. ground beef, 1/2 c. cracker meal, 1 egg, beaten slightly and 1 tbsp. prepared mustard, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Cut bread in half lengthwise.
Mix all other ingredients except sliced cheese strips.
Spread meat mixture evenly over top surface of bread.
Wrap aluminum foil around crust side of each half, leaving top uncovered.
Place on a cookie sheet.
Bake at 350Β° for 25 minutes.
Remove from oven and garnish with strips of cheese.
Bake 5 minutes longer or until bubbly and browned nicely. (This can be done under a broiler.)
