Superfast Cobbler
Superfast Cobbler is an easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. butter, 1 (16 oz.) can blackberries with juice (about 2 c.), 1 c. self-rising flour, 3/4 c. sugar and 3/4 c. milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Pitted cherries or sliced peaches can be substituted for blackberries.
Add 1/4 cup sugar to unsweetened fruit.
Preheat oven to 350Β°.
Melt butter in an 8-inch baking pan in oven.
Place blackberries and juice in small saucepan placed over low heat until heated through.
Combine flour, sugar and milk in bowl; blend well.
Pour into baking pan with melted butter; do not stir. Spoon blackberries and juice evenly over batter; do not stir. Bake 40 to 45 minutes or until golden brown.
Serve warm with cream.
