Super Chocolate Cake
Super Chocolate Cake is an impressive dinner. Made with 1/2 c. boiling water, 1 bar german chocolate, 1/4 c. warm water, 1 pkg. yeast and 1 c. shortening, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Melt chocolate hot water; set aside to cool.
Mix yeast and water.
Cream shortening and sugar well.
Add egg yolks, a time, beating after each.
Add vanilla, chocolate and yeast mixture.
Flour with salt and cocoa. Stir soda into buttermilk.
Add alternately flour and buttermilk, beating well after addition.
Fold in egg whites. Bake in 4 layers at
350Β° for 35 minutes.
Put filling between layers and frost.
