Sugar Cookies
Sugar Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 tsp. vanilla, 1 1/2 c. sugar, 1 egg, 1 c. shortening and 1 tsp. soda, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Cream together vanilla, sugar, egg and shortening.
Add soda and sour milk.
Mix and blend with vanilla and sugar mixture.
Sift together baking powder, flour and salt.
Mix with milk and sugar mixture until well blended, then add enough extra flour to make dough stiff enough to roll and cut.
This makes several cookies.
