Cream sugar and shortening.
Add eggs; blend.
Combine baking powder, soda, flour and salt with grated rind; add to creamed mixture with milk.
Drop by teaspoonfuls and flatten with glass dipped in sugar.
(Grease bottom of glass.)
Bake at 400Β° about 10 minutes.
