Sugar Cookies
Sugar Cookies is an moderately easy dessert you can prepare in about 1 hour 30 minutes. Made with c. butter or margarine, c. shortening (crisco), c. powdered sugar, c. granulated sugar and eggs, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
👨🍳 Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°.
Cream butter, shortening and both sugars.
Add eggs; beat well.
Add flour, sifted with cream of tartar and soda.
Add vanilla.
Roll into small balls.
Roll each ball in granulated sugar and place on lightly greased cookie sheet.
Flatten with a glass that has been dipped in sugar.
Bake at 350° for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
