Sugar Cinnamon Loaf
Sugar Cinnamon Loaf is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 pkg. dry yeast, 1/4 c. water, 1 c. milk, scalded, 1/2 c. sugar and 1 tbsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Soften yeast in warm water.
Scald milk; add 1/2 cup sugar, salt and shortening.
Cool to lukewarm.
Add 2 cups flour, mixing well.
Add yeast and eggs, beating well.
Then add enough flour to make soft dough.
Knead on lightly floured surface until smooth and elastic (about 10 minutes).
Place in lightly greased bowl; turn once to grease surface.
Cover and let rise in warm place until doubled in size (about 2 hours).
