Stuffed Onions

Parboil onions about 15 minutes and drain.
Mix meat, salt, pepper, shortening and catsup.
Remove centers of onions and fill with meat mixture.
Arrange in baking dish; cover and bake at 350Β° for 1 hour.
Remove cover; sprinkle tops with crumbs.
Dot with shortening and bake until brown.
