Strogie
Strogie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 small porterhouse steak, 3 tbsp. oil (peanut), 3 tsp. black pepper, 1 c. flour and 2 c. chopped white/yellow onion, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Cut porterhouse into small strips (bite sized).
Heat oil and black pepper in skillet (hot).
Toss steak pieces in flour.
Remove and shake off excess flour.
Brown in hot oil.
Reserve steak. Cool skillet slightly (add more oil or liquid, Worcestershire). Add slowly and cook chopped onion.
When onion is transparent, return steak to skillet, add a big dollop of sour cream over all and warm slightly.
