Strawberry Shortcake
Strawberry Shortcake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 egg whites, 1 1/2 sticks softened butter, 1 1/2 c. sugar, 1 tbsp. vanilla and 1 c. milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Stiffly whip the cream.
Rinse and cap the strawberries; blot dry on paper towels.
Slice strawberries and sprinkle with sugar. (If strawberries are sweet, no sugar is required.)
Divide the strawberries and put between cake layers.
(Do not put strawberries on top or they may bleed into cream.)
Spread whipped cream over the cake.
Cut and serve.
