Strawberry Shortcake
Strawberry Shortcake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 qt. strawberries, 1/4 c. sugar, 2 c. all purpose flour, 1/3 c. sugar and 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Sprinkle with sugar.
Prepare biscuits. Combine flour, 1/3 c. sugar, baking powder, baking soda. Cut in butter. Stir in buttermilk, vanilla. Put dough onto well-floured surface.
Knead gently 5 or 6 times. Pat to 3/4 inch thickness. Cut 3 inch rounds.
Lightly brush milk over biscuits. Sprinkle with sugar. Split biscuits in half. Serve warm with berries and whipped cream.
