Strawberry Pretzel Squares is an moderately easy dinner. Preheat oven to 350Β°. Mix crushed pretzels, 3 tablespoons sugar and butter.
Press firmly into the bottom of a 13 x 9 baking pan.
Bake for 10 minutes and cool.
Beat cream cheese, 1/2 cup sugar and milk until smooth.
Fold in Cool Whip gently, then spread over cooled crust and refrigerate.
Boil water and pour strawberry gelatin in, stirring well for about 2 minutes.
Stir in the cold water and refrigerate for about 1 1/2 hours or until thickened and gelatin is beginning to set.
Stir in the strawberries and carefully spoon over cream cheese layer.
Refrigerate at least 5 hours or until completely firm.
Cut in squares to serve.
Whipped topping may be added as a garnish.
