Strawberry Cake
Strawberry Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/3 c. sugar, 1 tbsp. cornstarch, 1/2 tsp. grated lime zest, pinch of ground cloves or ground nutmeg and 1 pt. basket strawberries (3 1/4 c.), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Combine the first 4 ingredients in saucepan.
Add 2 cups strawberries; mash strawberries in saucepan with potato masher. Bring to simmer, stirring until thickened.
Cool to lukewarm.
Cut cake lengthwise to make 3 layers.
Spread about 2 1/2 tablespoons of strawberry mixture between each layer.
Sandwich layers together.
