Sticky Cinnamon Buns
Sticky Cinnamon Buns is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 medium size potato, cooked in water, 1/2 c. sugar, 1 envelope granulated yeast, 2 tsp. salt and 2 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Potato and water through a colander.
Add enough warm water to make 2 cups.
Add the yeast; let stand for 5 minutes. Add the salt, flour, lard or Crisco and beaten eggs; mix until smooth.
Add about
4 cups flour to make a medium stiff dough.
Cover; until double in bulk. Prepare pans (9 x
2-inch oblong and a 9-inch round cake pan); grease generously
Crisco and drizzle generously with dark Karo syrup in pan until bottom of pan is covered. Spread soft butter over Karo.
Sprinkle with chopped walnuts.
