Steamed Cabbage
Steamed Cabbage is an easy dinner. Made with 1/2 head cabbage, cut in small pieces, 2 tsp. sugar, small amount of garlic salt, small amount of red pepper and 2 or 3 tbsp. bacon grease, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Bring 1/2 cup water to a boil; add cabbage, other ingredients and salt to taste.
Cover and cook on high for 10 minutes.
Stir frequently.
Cut off heat and let steam for 5 minutes or until cabbage is tender.
Sprinkle with bacon bits.
