Combine squash, onions and peppers.
Sprinkle with salt.
Let stand 1 hour; drain off liquid.
Mix in saucepan the remaining ingredients; bring to a hard boil.
Add squash, onions and peppers. Bring to another boil.
Fill jars and seal.
Makes four pints.
