Spoon Rolls
Spoon Rolls is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 sticks butter, 1/4 c. sugar, 1 beaten egg, 1 pkg. dry yeast and 4 c. self-rising flour or to plain flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Cream sugar into butter.
Add egg.
Dissolve yeast in 2 cups very warm water (105° to 115°).
Add flour.
Mix well. Refrigerate at least 2 hours (can do up to 4 days) in airtight container.
Spoon into greased muffin tins (2-inch diameter). Fill 2/3 full.
Bake at 350° for approximately 25 minutes or until golden brown.
