Spicy Rice
Spicy Rice is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 8 oz. bacon, 3/4 c. long grain rice, 1 1/2 c. water, 1 medium onion, chopped and 1/2 c. celery, sliced thin, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Cook bacon until crisp, drain, crumble and set aside.
Cook rice in water according to package directions and set aside. Saute onion, celery and carrots in margarine until tender but firm.
Add peas and saute two additional minutes.
Add rice, bacon and seasonings and stir over medium heat two to three minutes. Add small amount of water if needed to moisten.
Serves 4.
