Spiced Wild Duck
Spiced Wild Duck is an impressive dinner. Made with 2 ducks, salt, pepper, ground ginger and 1 tbsp. butter or lard, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Rub each duck well inside and out with salt, pepper and ground ginger.
Place one-half apple in each duck; place ducks in a large baking pan.
In a skillet, saute onions in butter until lightly browned; add water and vinegar and heat to boiling.
Add remaining ingredients and remove from heat; pour mixture over ducks.
Start cooking at 450° for 20 minutes.
Reduce heat to 350° and bake for approximately 2 hours, basting frequently.
