Spanish Rice - Microwave
Spanish Rice - Microwave is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. water, 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, chopped, 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste, 1/4 c. finely chopped onion and 1 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
In 2-quart microproof casserole combine all ingredients except rice.
Cook, covered, on High (max power) 5 minutes or until boiling.
Stir in rice, cook, covered, on 50 (Simmer) 30 to 35 minutes or until rice is tender.
Let stand, covered, 5 minutes before serving.
Yields 6 to 8 servings.
