Spanish Rice
Spanish Rice is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 lb. mushrooms, 1 lb. pork sausage, 1 lb. ground beef, 1 c. uncooked rice and 1 c. chopped green bell pepper, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Cut and wash mushrooms; set aside.
Mash both meats in pan over high heat; pour off enough drippings in another pan to lightly brown rice.
Then add to meat the onions, pepper and garlic.
Cook, stirring, until onions are clear; add tomatoes, chili powder, mushrooms, salt and pepper.
Add rice to meat mixture.
Pour in a 2-quart casserole dish.
Bake at 350Β° until rice is tender, about 30 to 40 minutes.
