Spanish Links
Spanish Links is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 lb. sausage (link or bulk pork sausage), 1 (6 to 8 oz.) rice-a-roni spanish rice, 2 c. hot water, 1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes and 1/4 c. chopped onions, optional, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Sausage in skillet.
Drain, reserving 1 tablespoon drippings skillet.
If onions and chilies are used, at this time. Add rice-vermicelli mix.
Continue cooking vermicelli is slightly browned. Add water, contents of seasoning packet and tomatoes (chopped in blender or food processor).
Bring to a boil. Cover; reduce heat and simmer 15 to 20 minutes or until liquid is absorbed and rice is tender.
